Before Laurie Cumbo went public with her announcement that she is a candidate for the City Council District 35, she held many events to hear from people and discuss issues that are central, including her stance on the Arts, and its capacity to shed new light on NYC and our neighborhoods. Does anyone know anyone else who has run for public office with an arts platform central to their candidacy?  This one was held in Bklyn at the Tabla Rasa Gallery on 48th Street on the night of Oct 2ed.
