Heaven is Weeping

Jinyu Li painted this after traveling through China. She gains spiritually from her travels and her paintings. A supporter of the Fa Lun Gong the painting looks like propaganda, but its so oddly unusual I begin to realize how easy it is to misinterpret.  Meeting her I find a sincere artist, and because of this, get to glimpse the difficulty in understanding what is really happening in China, or for that matter in North Korea.  This is why I can't laugh when seeing the Onion's choice of the sexiest man riding a horse as he takes the reins in North Korea. Jinyu Li's come to America to display her work. It was on display in Confucius Plaza.
