There has been many actions on the steps of City Hall. This one took place on Sept 24. 2012
Queens Councilman Daniel Dromm brought many of us together to support something we have wanted for a long time. Too often the differences within the local Asian-American community are overlooked by city agencies. When it comes to city services stereotypes persist, and seeing distinctions are easily overlooked. Its the same old story. It should not be surprising we have to fight for every detail. Daniel Dromm took leadership here, introducing legislation that requires city agencies to collect demographic information on these sub-groups to help the city eliminate mixups, and provide better services.
Speaking on behalf of the AAARI is Joyce Moy, standing next to Daniel Dromm.
